Its another grey morning, a bit of breeze so the laundry is on the line. Its a toss up if it dries or not.

When I went out to the garden this morning I noticed this....

The red rose on the arch. I planted this rose and one on the right of the arch at the same time, The right hand one flowered every year, this one just did not seem to want to grow, for some reason they have swapped round, the red rose is full of flower, the pink rose on the other side of the arch has just one bud on it.......weird.

I baked bread yesterday using some of the flour I bought at Cotehele Mill whilst we were in Cornwall. I hope it tastes as good as it looks, 50% wholemeal flour 50% strong white flour. I will be slicing it for lunch.

DB has gone round to finish painting the fence. The landscaper came last night with slabs for us, 7 large slabs and a couple of odd bits. So we can sort out the path down the back of the shed.

No real plans for the day, the cleaners are here this afternoon, baked cod with veggies and parsley sauce for supper, doubt if there will be any more strawberries.

  1. The rose on the arch is lovely as is the rest of your garden. It is a puzzlement why the pink rose seemed to flourish more than the red, and that the roses have swapped who is blooming more abundantly.

Hope DB has had a good day painting and that those added pavers will solve the new 'problem' of getting around the potted plant without stepping in the grass!

Your bread look delicious! May it taste as good as it looks. :)

  2. Ooh-fresh bread. My favourite.

Thank you for leaving your comment. I do read them all. I may choose not to publish them all however.
