A sunny day.

We woke to a sunny morning after yesterdays rain. An early breakfast we were going down to St Austell and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. I will draw a veil over the journey there, save to say words were exchanged.

We were a bit disappointed in the gardens themselves, not quite what we were expecting. We ate a picnic lunch and then went on to Mevagissey, where we sat on the quay for an hour in the sun. On the way back we called at the Coddy Shack for fish and chips, they were something else, the batter on the fish was lovely and crisp.

I am having a problem downloading the pictures, the signal here is not great, you will have to wait until we get back home.

  1. How marvelous you two had a pretty day but am sorry the Lost Gardens were a disappointment. I looked up the site this morning and it seemed interesting to me from the photos. I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Good that you enjoyed time on the quay and found the Coddy Shack so had a yummy meal there.

If you can believe it, we're forecast a high likelihood of thunderstorms from 4pm today until 8am tomorrow. Mercy!

I hope to sew and I certainly hope the power stays on.

  2. Oh. I’m sorry you were disappointed with the Lost Gardens. I loved them. (Whispers quietly - I was a bit disappointed with the Eden Project. I hugely preferred the Lost Gardens. Each to their own, I guess 🙂 )

Thank you for leaving your comment. I do read them all. I may choose not to publish them all however.
