Easter Day

And the 1st of April.

DB expressed a wish to go to Chapel this morning, so after our breakfast in bed as usual, we showered, dressed and wandered round to the Chapel. Our friends and their daughter were already there, as was the organist. The Pastor's son was also there, he had done a presentation for Easter Day. Several people followed us in, so there were eventually sixteen of us. The service was a little long winded, but enjoyable. A cup of tea and a biscuit afterwards prepared us for the cold walk home.

Its a very grey, cold day, just after lunch the sky darkened and it started to rain........the snow we were forecast for tomorrow seems to have disappeared, we might well get rain instead. We remembered Easters away in the caravan when we did have snow, and had to be pulled off the site by four wheel drive vehicles.  I remember one Easter rally when we were half way up the wheels in mud, getting off there was fun!!They are a thing of the past now, just memories to mull over from time to time.

Marinaded shoulder of lamb for supper, with roast potatoes, cauliflower and calabrese. I made a blackberry and apple crumble yesterday, so more of that for dessert.

  3. Glad you enjoyed the service at chapel this morning and were able to swell the numbers. Still very cold here with yellow warning for snow tomorrow. Enjoy your evening.

  4. I wish we had a church around the corner as it must be nice to enjoy a springtime walk (even if cold) for that short distance.

Happy Easter and April 1 to you and DB!

    Hugs!
