Wednesday

We had several snow showers yesterday and then around 5pm it started in earnest and this morning we had about an inch lying. We have had a couple of flurries this morning but the sun is trying to come through. Our neighbour has just been up for the papers and kindly brought our TV choice and also some spuds, it was the one thing I forgot last week. Have enough to last the week out now.

The north (east) wind doth blow and we have snow!!

There is garlic and onions under this!!

Last night I decided to try out the settee as a chaise long, so I could lie on it and watch TV, it worked so well I almost fell asleep, A cushion against the arm that was still up and it was very comfortable.

I left the arm down so you can see how it works. Its on a ratchet so you can have it in 4 positions.

We need to do a freezer audit, have a wff delivery coming today hopefully.

Toad in the hole tonight with carrots, cauli and low salt gravy. fresh fruit for dessert.

I lit the fire this morning and turned the sitting room rad off. So we have been toasty warm all day. Drawer audit done, will not need any meat in March just dry goods, fruit and veg. I also tried out the new bread maker, nice white loaf, will do the starter for a sour dough loaf at the weekend.

  1. The winds got up and its starting to drift off the fields in the depths of Lincolnshire , not a vehicle has left the village since a 4WD about 9.00am . Were at 4 inches and counting cant even see the farm over the road for it coming down

  2. We’re now officially snowbound-schools and colleges closed, no trains etc. The quilt sets your new sofa off beautifully-clever fingers. I’m having another sewing day today as my voluntary class is cancelled keep safe. Catriona

  5. Anne the sofa is gorgeous but that quilt is stunning - I haven't seen that one before - it's one of your quilts isn't it? - it looks brilliant against the new sofa xx

  6. I really like the color of your settee. How convenient that the arms come down.

  7. I'm so glad your area hasn't gotten the snow and winds other areas have but as I understand it, more may fall tomorrow.

Your new sofa looks so comfy and I can well imagine that it would be so easy to fall asleep there. Your quilt is just beautiful!

    Hugs!
