Friday

Busy morning, cleaners were late so they went to my neighbour first, I needed to get DB out for a walk. Ran into some friends on the way back, they think they have sold their house at last, its only been on the market for 6 years!!

Hairdresser came, so we are both shorn now, cleaners have been and gone. Sandwiches made for DB for his lunch, I have had mine and will be ready to go out when our friends come to baby sit. DB is hoping to get into the shed so R can see whats needed to put a couple of shelves up.

I am off to see the settee and if its what I want, I have permission to order it.

Fish and chips for supper.

Our friends turned up on time so I was able to get away on time it took me 3/4 of an hour to get to the showroom, I knew what I wanted and found it quite quickly, problem came when I came to find a fabric, I had to go with my 3rd choice, but it does not look too bad against the rise and recline chair.

This is the model in the show room in a neutral colour.

I tried it with the arms down which  was great and its on castors which means it moves easily. 4 weeks to delivery....can't wait.

  1. What a lot was accomplished today and I hope the settee suits you to a T! Hope, too, that your find the perfect upholstery fabric for the settee's cover. How exciting it will be to tick that off of your list and comfy, too.

Wishing you a safe trip and a lovely rest when you get back home.

    Hugs!

  3. What a huge turnaround! Not long ago you were saying DB couldn't go out and consequently you were tied to the house too.

Glad to see you're getting out, both with DB on walks and by yourself, shopping etc. Does you good to be away from the four walls occasionally.

  6. Like Theresa, I'm interested in your description of the fabric you chose for the settee. Hope you and DB will be very happy with your purchase!

I know DB was pleased to have a conversation with R about the new shed. :)

Enjoy your rest time before it's time to prepare dinner.

    Hugs!

  7. Glad you had time to choose the sofa you wanted. What colour did you choose to complement the recliner? I had a message this afternoon to help with a sewing class tomorrow in the charity where I volunteer. The lady who was supposed to be doing it caught her arm in the Hoffman presser at her work and has burned it quite badly. Catriona
